Time for Tea, Cake and more…

Yes, you read that right! Last week I had the privilege of meeting some amazing and like-minded beauty bloggers at an event hosted by Rebecca Goodyear of Biteable Beauty. Rebecca is a PR marketer and manages her blog which is all about natural and organic beauty, health and wellbeing. The event called “Eat Cake and Talk Beau-Tea” was held at Bea’s of Bloomsbury and was sponsored by NuffNangX. At the event I also got to meet the sponsors Jean-Luc and Arya who were great to talk to and ever-so-generous with their sponsored rounds of tea/coffee and cake/muffins. Thank you JeanLuc and Arya! 🙂

It was a fun evening where we got chatting, shared information on various topics like how to gain traffic, what works best for us in terms of page design, number of posts per week, monetisation and much more. Arya and Natasha were very encouraging when I mentioned I have yet to gather up the courage to start vlogging 😉 which I hope to start soon! Rebecca also had us bring our favorite products and were given the opportunity to share our reviews with the group, which proved to be quite informative.

Below are the favorites that I took along. You can read my review on the Advance Techniques 360 Moroccan Argan Oil Leave-in Treatment here.

Some of the other bloggers present that evening were: Natasha from Quaintrelle Beauty who will soon be launching her website (can’t wait), Anna from YoungforGood, Erika from MakeUpFun, Alexandra from PrettyLittlePassport, Ellie from maydollblog, Mariam aka Romy from beautyholicromy, Saimira from samsbeautyblog and Mark from thespaman

Rebecca also very sweetly got us cute “Mr. Men” goody bags filled with samples. Here’s a list of what was in my goody bag:

  • Dr. Bronner’s 18-in-1 Hemp Rose Pure-Castile SoapLFB_Sample Bag
  • Dr. Bronner’s Magic All-in-One Organic Lip Balm
  • Jasmine Aqua Floralis perfume vial by Florascent Parfumeurs
  • Lavera Organic Hand Cream
  • Primavera Moisture Cream Satchet
  • terre d’Oc Nourishing Hand Cream Satchet
  • Beyond Organic Skincare Regenerating Night Cream
  • Green & Black’s Organic Chocolates (Milk, Butterscotch, Dark Chocolate) with a chocolate scented recipe card for Chery Chocolate Custard (Yummmm, I’m going to give it a try) 🙂
  • A cute Mr. Brave sticker
  • Brochures from Beyond Organic Skincare and Lavera Natural Cosmetics

Aside from the above, Rebecca also brought along some tester/sample products as part of a beauty swish and she very generously let me have both of the Lancôme Ink Artliners which I shall be reviewing in the near future.

I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Rebecca, JeanLuc and Arya for organising such a lovely evening and to everyone else, it was great meeting you all and getting to know you. I’m so looking forward to the next event, which will be confirmed soon.

Hi Mark, it was good to meet you too. And any feedback or suggestions on my site are more than welcome. I did have a quick browse through your site a couple of days ago and I must say I love the Pinboard theme… it’s something that I am going to eventually look into 🙂
    Stay in touch!
